These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Liverpurrs Cat Sitting ("we", "us", "our"). By booking our services, you agree to the following terms.
1. Services
We provide cat sitting services including feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, administering medication (if agreed), and general welfare checks as agreed at the time of booking.
2. Bookings
- All bookings must be made in advance
- Bookings are only confirmed once agreed and (where required) a deposit is received
- We reserve the right to decline bookings at our discretion
3. Deposits & Payments
- A 20% non-refundable deposit is required:
- For all new customers
- For all bookings in December
- The remaining balance must be paid before or at the start of the booking period
4. Cancellations
Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details. Key points include:
- Short-notice cancellations may be charged up to 100%
- Christmas bookings have stricter terms
- Deposits are non-refundable
5. Access to Property
- Clients must provide safe and secure access to the property (keys, lockbox, or code)
- We are not responsible for issues arising from faulty locks, alarms, or incorrect access details
6. Keys & Access Devices
- Keys may be retained securely between bookings if agreed
- Alternatively, keys must be collected promptly after the booking
- A replacement fee may be charged for lost keys due to client fault
- We recommend clients ensure keys and locks are in good working order
7. CCTV and Recording Devices
We understand that some customers may have CCTV or recording devices in their property. We are happy to carry out our services in homes where cameras are present.
However, we kindly ask that customers respect our team’s comfort and professionalism by avoiding actively monitoring or communicating through cameras while work is being carried out, unless necessary.
By booking our services, you acknowledge and accept that recording devices may be present and agree to use them respectfully.
8. Pet Health & Welfare
- All cats must be in good health unless disclosed in advance
- Clients must provide clear written instructions for feeding, medication, and care
- We reserve the right to refuse services if a pet poses a risk to safety
9. Veterinary Care
- In the event of illness or injury, we will attempt to contact you or your emergency contact
- If this is not possible, we will seek veterinary treatment in the best interest of your pet
- Clients agree to cover any veterinary costs incurred
- We will aim to use your preferred vet where possible
10. Liability
- We will take all reasonable care while providing our services
- However, we are not liable for:
- Illness, injury, or death of pets unless due to proven negligence
- Damage to property unless caused by our negligence
- Issues outside our control (e.g. third parties, utilities, weather)
11. Home Security & Insurance
- We will take reasonable steps to ensure your home remains secure
- Clients must inform us of alarms, security systems, or special instructions
- It is the client’s responsibility to ensure appropriate home and pet insurance is in place
12. Missed Visits / Force Majeure
While we always aim to attend every scheduled visit, we are not liable for missed or delayed visits due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Road closures or traffic incidents
- Illness or emergencies
In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to inform you and arrange alternative care where possible.
13. Data Protection
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We use third-party tools such as Time To Pet and Google (via Google Forms) to manage bookings and store client information securely.
14. Photos & Social Media
- We may take photos of your pets during visits for updates or records
- These photos may be used on our website or social media
- If you prefer that photos are not shared publicly, please inform us in writing
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
